I MAY venture into the living eating thing, but I'm not sure, yet...seems like an awful lot of prep....but it sure does sound good...Chuckleheadshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00648932689784991258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1362422802455277310.post-66116605019763638352010-04-19T13:57:44.352-07:002010-04-19T13:57:44.352-07:00P.S. Here's a recipe that I made for lunch today that you might like....

Sweetish collard wraps

Ingredients:

*Collard greens
*Black beans (I had to use canned cause it's all I had, but normally I would say, "soak em!"
*Zuccini, shredded
*Pine nuts
*raisins
*craisins (I don't know if these are raw either, but if not you could just add more raisins - just don't go overboard)
*honey (just a little)
*nut "ranch"

Nut ranch:

Soak cashews for 2 hours then blend. Add some lemon (we use lime) juice, a dash of salt, onion and garlic powder to taste (we just omit the garlic because of little E and it's fine). Blend. Add a couple of green onions, fresh dill, and basil chopped up. Pulse blend just to mix. (don't greenify it!)

Mix all ingredients together to form a slaw, except collard greens. Cut off the stem of the green and partially de-vein the remainder (so they'll roll up like a wrap. Place the slaw mixture on top of the leaf.

Roll up and serve! It is soooooooooo good!

As you can see, I didn't put amounts on anything. I just made the "slaw" until it tasted yummy on it's own, and then wrapped it up. You can use some of the extra nut "ranch" to dip it in if you want too. JAKE EVEN LIKED THESE. HALLELUJIA. I'm gonna try yours when I get a spiralizer!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! The Hansen Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17236350580320786089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1362422802455277310.post-64963140108433424552010-04-17T21:03:33.527-07:002010-04-17T21:03:33.527-07:00(I mean the orion wrap and food wrap)(I mean the orion wrap and food wrap)Cothran Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15771695838517102137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1362422802455277310.post-86502400153797218932010-04-17T21:02:46.248-07:002010-04-17T21:02:46.248-07:00No more waffles with buttermilk syrup and whipped ...No more waffles with buttermilk syrup and whipped cream for me :) Someday, someday I might go all the way. but for now, I'm just experimenting with my sister's ideas.
